If you have been on the Internet for any length of time you have probably seen Ads by the snake oil salesman saying that you can make $10,000 a month with free paid surveys……..
Personally, I fell for some of these lies and tried them. Only to found out that they were shady outfits that were there to bilk people out of money.
While we have verifiable proof on our Blog here that legitimate free paid surveys do exist, you need to make note that there are some very unscrupulous people and businesses out there setting up as unnecessary middleman and charging unnecessary fees to be a part of a survey site.
You may ask , why do the legitimate Businesses want to pay people to take paid online surveys ??
We live in a very capitalistic culture where a free market economy means that competition thrives amongst businesses !! And every Company wants to gain a competitive advantage and that is where the Consumer and his Opinions are so important and sought after. These Companies want to know what we ,the average user of their Products and Services , think and what our Opinions are. This way they can take this information and make their products better and more effective thereby increasing the overall profitability of the Company !
This kind of Market Research whereby a Company ask the Opinions of Consumers about their Products is not anything new !! Actually it has been around for quite awhile ! But with the advent of the Internet, Companies can retrieve the Information more quickly and efficiently. Making the old way of snail mail and telephone interviews obsolete and inefficient !

This is why in todays business environment Companies are willing to pay you for your opinions via the Internet !
So you ask how do you avoid Online Scams ??
The first answer and most important is to NEVER pay to join a survey site or a list of surveys to take. Never do this !!
I would also be wary of joining FREE survey sites ! I have found it to be a waste of time as they reward you with sweepstakes, drawings or vouchers.
I have never won any Sweepstakes or personally know of anyone else who has. So it might be a good thing to just stay away from these.
Lastly, we highly advise that you stay away from Sites that hype BIG rewards for a small investment of time or money. Use commonsense and if it sounds too good to be true it usually means it is. And if you see those slick testimonials of people saying they won big then I would turn the other way and run !!
