We have seen so many articles about how excellent online paid surveys are. But what are the shortcomings of it? For one, the money that you can get out of paid surveys cannot always support your daily needs so it is not always viable to quit your full time job for it.
Another downside of paid surveys is that participants often believe that survey invitations will come in a regular flow. Most people have the idea that once they become a member of one survey site they can do none stop surveys as they wish. There are sites that only have some list of surveys for new members while there are others that send out one invitation a day to some members. If you are one of those fortunate members to receive it, then there is an opportunity for your to earn $100-$200 a month for a good paying survey. Clearly, nobody can survive on $200 a month.
Let us say for example that you are able to find several companies that send you daily survey invitations and you are able to increase your extra income to $2,000 a month. This will only be possible if you can find at least 14 companies that will pay $150 a month. If you can, then you must complete 14 surveys a day. This brings us to another downside of paid surveys.
$5 surveys usually can be finished for at least 30 minutes and sometimes even an hour. Let us say you can finish a $5 survey in 30 minutes. But remember, you must complete 14 surveys daily, this means you have to sit in front of your PC for 7 hours daily. Sounds so much like taking a full time job. In this case, if you have a full time job, where do you get 7 hours daily? You will definitely have a difficult time doing it.
Make sure you read the terms and conditions carefully before joining any survey sites. If not, you might be surprised by the things that you encounter. One example is the number of junk mails you will get. Once you register, try to examine the registration form. Definitely, you will see that you are required to agree to receive offers from them. If you do agree to these 14 websites, you will get a shock seeing how many junk emails you have.
In a nutshell, joining paid surveys is not always a bed of roses. It requires your time and effort, and careful planning, just like any other job, before taking it on. Despite all these, it cannot be denied that the money is good once you start receiving them.
